Dr. Ariadni Spyroglou is an Endocrinologist, Assistant Professor of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and the University of Zurich. After graduating with distinction from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens she was specialized in Endocrinology at the University Clinic of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich under the supervision of Professor M. Reincke. She has then worked as a consultant in the Endocrinology Clinic of the University Hospital of Zurich and was responsible for the Obesity Center at the University Hospital in Zurich. Since 2011 she was responsible for teaching medical students, first at the University of Munich and then at the University of Zurich. Her scientific work includes a large number of clinical and laboratory studies on obesity and adrenal diseases with respective presentations at international conferences and numerous publications in international scientific journals. She was the scientific supervisor of three PhD students at the above-mentioned universities. She has received national and international scholarships and awards for her research projects, among others from the European Society of Endocrinology. Since January 2020 she is the Scientific Supervisor of the Endocrinology Department of Mediterraneo First Care, Scientific Associate of Mediterraneo Hospital and continues as Research Fellow of the Endocrinology Clinic of the University of Zurich.
Dr. med. Ariadni Spyroglou ist Endokrinologin, Privatdozentin der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und der Universität Zürich. Nach ihrem Abschluss mit Auszeichnung an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Athen hat sie an der Universitätsklinik der LMU in München unter der Leitung von Professor M. Reincke ihre Facharztausbildung in der Endokrinologie abgeschlossen. Anschließend war sie als Oberärztin in der Endokrinologischen Klinik des Universitätsspitals Zürich tätig, wo sie auch für das Adipositas-Zentrum zuständig war. Seit 2011 nahm sie an der Didaktik von Medizinstudenten zuerst an der Universität München und dann an der Universität Zürich teil. Ihre wissenschaftliche Arbeit umfasst umfangreiche klinische sowie Laborstudien im Bereich der Adipositas und der Nebennierenerkrankungen mit entsprechenden Präsentationen auf internationalen Kongressen und zahlreichen Publikationen in internationalen wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschriften. Gleichzeitig hat sie medizinische und naturwissenschaftliche Doktoranden an den oben genannten Universitäten betreut. Im Rahmen ihrer Forschungsprojekte erhielt sie nationale und internationale Stipendien und Auszeichnungen, unter anderem von der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie. Seit Januar 2020 ist sie als Leiterin der Endokrinologie-Abteilung von Mediterraneo First Care sowie als Gastärztin der Endokrinologischen Klinik der Universität Zürich tätig.
