Dr. Grigoria Gkavela was born in Athens in 1983.
She graduated from the University of Athens Dental School in 2006 and since then she has been an Associate of the Department of Restorative dentistry of Athens University.
After that she was accepted in the post- graduate program of Aesthetic and Restorative dentistry of the Dental School of the University of Athens from which she took her Masters’ degree in 2012.
Immediately following that she was accepted as a PhD candidate in the department of Prosthodontics of the dental school of the University of Athens, from which she graduated in 2019.
Part of her thesis was awarded in July of 2014 in the European College of Gerodontology annual meeting with worldwide participation, as the best research study.
The field of her research consists of items concerning caries prevention, treatment and causing factors especially in the elderly and also other items that concern restorative dentistry, with many of her studies being publicized in Greek and international scientific journals.
Furthermore she has participated as a speaker in various Greek, European and international congresses.
Since October 2018 she has also been Scientific Consultant of the Dentistry Department of Mediterraneo First Care.
